Story telling
Dear Peter,
I am glad to know you are interested in Chinese ancient story. I will tell you a famous story from Chinese history. It’s called the story of 100,000 arrows. It took place in the Three Kingdoms Period in ancient China.
One day, Zhou Yu asked Zhuge Liang to make 100,000 arrows in ten days. Zhuge Liang agreed and promised to finish the task in three days. The next day morning, Zhuge Liang’s army sailed the boats with strawmen towards Cao Cao’s camp. They shouted and beat their drums loudly. Cao Cao’s army thought they were under attack. However, they could not see through the thick fog. So Cao Cao ordered his soldiers to shoot arrows towards the sounds of the drums. Finally, Zhuge Liang’s boats were soon full of arrows.
From this story, I can learn that Zhuge Liang won because of his wisdom and calmness. I need to work harder to try to be a knowledgeable person like him.
I hope you’ll enjoy this story. Keep in touch.
