本节与上节相关性分析 在学生进行了本单元相关词汇学习的基础上，掌握形容词比较级和最高级的变化规则，及应用条件，使得学生能够在不同语境中正确应用
教学重点与难点 教学重点 1、形容词比较级和最高级的变化规则。 2、培养学生对语境的理解能力，做出正确判断。 3、帮助学生了解更多相关句型和习语，激发探索兴趣。
教学难点 1、形容词比较级和最高级的不规则变化。 2、指导学生正确灵活地运用。 3、发展学生独立思考和发表自己见解的能力。

Ask students to read as quickly and clearly as they can. 3.Show some proverbs to let Ss guess. 4.Lead Ss to focus on the adjectives and pay attention to the forms as well as the Chinese meanings. 5.Make comments and lead in the teaching objectives. Step 2 Presentation: Forms (7 min) 1.To help students understand the forms 2. Guide Ss to summarize the rules 1.Ask students to observe and describe the pictures. 2.Guide Ss to master the 3 rules for adjectives with different syllables. 3. Ask Ss to do some related exercise. Picture walk; blank-filling;
Step 3 Presentation: Set up the context and the usage (10 min) To help students understand the concept and and use the comparative and superlative of adjectives in different content properly . Introduce David, an e-friend of the teacher. Introduce his first hobby—music, then play the recording and ask Ss to focus on the adjectives in the lyric and the colored word“than”, then elicit Ss to work out the rule. 3.Introduce David’s second hobby—cartoons, then show two of them to guide Ss to master the usage of the comparative and superlative of adjectives. Task- based Q&A; a song recording; picture walk;
Step 4 Practice (10 min) To enable students to consolidate what they have learnt. 1. Introduce David’s third hobby—travel and the destination of this trip-Tyoto, then let Ss watch a video and complete the information. 2. Ask students to help David go shopping before travelling by doing the related exercises in the textbook. A video; exercises in the textbook
Step 5 Production (9 min) Extend the usage and let Ss check how well they learn. 1.Guide students to do the translation and point out these sentence patterns in the mind map are the important . 2.Ask Ss to do a self-check exercise. Mind-map; choice
Step 5 Homework (1 min) To help students personalize what they have learned. 1.Encourage students to create a story to describe family members with comparative & superlative structure.
