教学目标及教学重点、难点
教学目标: At the end of the class, the students will be able to: 1.learn to write a passage to solve your friends’ problems in life 2.learn to make friends in a proper way. A friend in need is a friend indeed.
教学重点: 1. Key vocabulary: take part in, an old people’s home, worry about, say sorrt to... 2. Key sentences: -What will you do if you visit an old people's home -If I do that, I'll bring the old people some flowers.
教学难点: Write a passage about one’s problems and solutions.

Step 1 Lead-in (PPT 3-8) 1. Guide Ss to review the phrases and then read them. 2. Make Ss talk about his/her problems and what she/he should do, using the following patterns: He/She is… I think he/she should… If he/she…, he/she will… 3-8屏的设计是为了让学生复习2b短语。谈论问题提出自己的解决方案。为本节课的写作提供话题素材。
Step 2 Presentation (PPT 9-10) Work on 3a. 1. Ask Ss to read the instructions. Talk to someone you know. Find out his/her three biggest worries. Try to think of some solutions to the problems and write them down. 2. Make Ss complete the task. Ask someone what his/her three biggest worries are. Then think of possible solutions to the problems. Make simple notes. 完成3a的课文,填入问题焦虑以及解决方法。这是写作的素材积累。
Step 3 Writing (PPT 11-15) Work on 3b,3c. 1. Ask Ss to complete the task in 3b using the notes in 3a and the structures in 3b to help with the writing. 2. Ask some Ss to read their writing in 3b to the class. 3. Correct mistakes if there are any. 4. Call attention to 3c.Read the instructions to the class. 5. Writing practice. Ask Ss to write their advice for their friend's second and third problem following the structures in 3b. 6. Ask some Ss to present their writing. 7. Correct the mistakes. 学生根据3a的信息写下3b句子,其中要描述朋友的问题和麻烦,并提出自己的建议。学生完成后,找出一两篇范文来展示并纠错。
Step 4 Practice (PPT 16-20) Work on 4. 1. Read the instructions for this activity to the class. Your school is taking part in the project “We Can Help!” Add more items to the poster. Then talk about what you will do if you take part in the project. 2.Ask Ss to read the sample conversation. 3.Point out the poster. Ask Ss to add more items to it. 4.Pair-work. Talk about what you will do if you take part in the project with your partner. 5.Ask some pairs to present their conversations. 6. Review if clause. 利用if-clause表达表格里的信息,练习对话。复习if条件从句。
Step 5 Self Check (PPT 21-24) Make Ss read the words in the box first then fill in the blanks. Ss read the conversation then complete it with the words in the box. Ss make sentences using their imagination. 4. Ask some Ss to present their answers. 5. Check the answers one by one. 用所学的if条件状语从句完成Self Check。总结本单元的知识点。
Step 6 Exercises (PPT 25-26) Practice the language points and the grammar. 通过完成对话、词形填空等形式练习所学的语言点和if条件状语从句。
Step 7 Homework (PPT 27) 1. Copy and recite the new words & Grammar Focus. 2. 模仿编五个对话。 I think I’ll do ____________. If you do, you’ll ____________. 本节课的作业主要记忆单词和语法。以此来练习写作本单元的problems-solutions的对话。

教学反思 围绕本单元的话题写作时,尽量用上本单元所学if-clause的语法和基本句型。比如本单元就问题以及解决方法写作。 培养学生的解决问题能力。
