用法
It is+adj.+for sb.+to do sth.句型意为“对某人来说，做某事是怎么样的”，其中it为形式主语，真正的主语是to do sth.。如：
It is useful for you to learn the computer. 对你来说，学习计算机是有用的。
辨析
It is+adj.+for sb.+to do sth.和It is+adj.+of sb.+to do sth.
（1）“It is+adj.+for sb.+to do sth.”句型意为“对某人来说，做某事是怎么样的”，该句型中的形容词是用来描述事物的特征、特点的，如difficult，hard，easy，important，necessary等。
(2) “It is +adj.+of sb.+to do sth.”句型意为“某人（做某事）怎么样”，该句型中的形容词是用来描述人物的性格、品质的，如kind，good，nice，right，wrong，clever，polite，foolish等。
(3)of sb.的句型通常都可转换为不定式作状语的句子，但for sb.的句型不可以。如：
It’s very nice of you to offer me a seat.=You are nice to offer me a seat.你给我让座，真好。
It’s careless of him to lose so many things.=He is careless to lose so many things. 他丢了这么多东西，真是太粗心了。
