Write a short article about your own family life following the Five-star writing process.
Important Point: Students can write a short article about their own family life with the scaffolding of the Five-star writing process.
Difficult Points: Students can try to use the Five-star writing process when writing after this lesson.

1 Lead-in Lead Ss to review the reading text on P35 about the six aspects of introducing one’s family life. Review the six aspects of introducing one’s family life. To activate Ss’ background knowledge and lead in the topic
Introduce the writing task of this lesson. Know about the writing task.
2 Pre-Writing Introduce a Five-star writing process. Learn about the writing process. To be aware of the process and get prepared for the writing task
3 While-Writing 1. Key informationShow a mind map about family life, ask Ss to think about their family life and fill in the mind map.(Set an example for Ss.) Think about their own family life and fill in the mind map following T’s example. To organise the key information into a mind map
2. Topic-related expressionsAsk Ss to find out useful expressions from the text on P35 and add them to their mind maps.(Set an example for Ss.) Find out some useful expressions from the text on P35 according to their own situation and add them to their mind maps. To ensure enough input for writing and enhance resources searching awareness
