一、教学目标：1.知识与技能
(1)词汇：扎实掌握以下词汇
地点名词：post office, police station, hotel, restaurant, bank, hospital, street,pay phone
方位介词（短语）：across from, front, in front of, behind, near
(2)句型：能熟练运用① —Is there a hospital near here —Yes, there is.
② The pay phone is across from the library.
③ The pay phone is between the post office and the library.
2.过程与方法：通过多种形式的口笔头练习与听力训练，师生互动，生生互动，使学生能熟练运用新句型进行交际。
3.情感态度与价值观：培养学生积极参与的意识；尊重他人并乐于助人。
二、教学重难点
1. 方位介词的用法 。 2.There be 句型的用法。
三、教学过程
Step1：图片导入 明确目标。（2分钟）
1.播放一些建筑物的图片，引出本节课学习目标。
完成方式：师生对话，明确学习目标，准备参与课堂活动
设计意图：激发学习兴趣做到有的放矢。
Step2：学习新知（15分钟） Task1：：地点名词
多媒体呈现本节课涉及地点名词post office, police station, hotel, restaurant, bank, hospital, street, pay phone。
完成方式：At first, ask a few students to try to read them, then the teacher corrects their pronunciations
Task2：连一连，1a词配图。
完成方式：学生自主完成，班内展示。
设计意图：练习词汇，加深印象，活跃气氛
Task3：方位介词
多媒体呈现图示，学习方位介词in front of ，behind，across from，between…and， near和next to。并且比较near和next to，in front of 和in the front of，最后练习
设计意图：多媒体直观形象，便于理解，近义词比较，便于记忆。
Task4：2a根据主题图描述地点位置。
完成方式：看图说位置
设计意图：投石问路，为1b做准备
Step3：Listening:1b（18分钟）
Task1：T: Now let’s listen to the tape, and circle the places you hear in 1a.
(听力指导：做好听力题的两个关键：一是听前看图片或者文字材料；二是听时抓住关键词。)
完成方式：播放听力材料，检查学生完成情况。
Conversation 1: A: Is there a restaurant on Bridge Street
B:Yes, there is.
Conversation 2: A:Is there a post office near here
B: Um, Yes, there is. There is one on Long Street.
Conversation 3: A: A:Is there a hospital on Center Street
B:No, there isn't.
设计意图：做好听力指导，深化听力练习。
Task2：由听力材料引出There be 句型
1）There be ...句型表示的是 “某地有某人或某物”，其结构为There be (is/are)+名词+介词短语。 例如：There is a post office near here.
There are two watches on the table.
结构遵循就近原则：由离be动词最近的主语决定用is 或are。
练习1.There ____ a pen near the ruler.
2. There ____ 2 books on the table.
3.There ____ a pen and two books on the table.
4.There ____ 2 books and a pen on the table.
2）There be句型否定句式的构成和含有be动词的其它句型一样，在be后加上“not”。
3）There be结构的一般疑问句变化只需把be动词移到句首，再在句尾加上问号即可。
Step4：1c Pairwork（4分钟）
A:Is there a ……. near here
B:Yes, there is. /No , there isn’t.
完成方式：小组合作，进行对话交流
设计意图：通过小组合作，练习本节课重点句型，达到能力提升的效果。
