教材 分析 本模块是外研版八年级上册第4模块Planes,ships and trains. 随着社会的发展和人们生活水平的提高，旅游出行逐渐成为人们生活的重要组成部分，出行方式的选择是人们必须考虑的问题。本模块学习的正是这个内容——旅游与交通。通过介绍贝蒂和妈妈讨论上学的出行方式，加强对学生交通安全意识的教育和引导。
学情 分析 本模块的话题是旅行与交通。八年级的学生已具备了一定的语言运用能力，也积累了关于出行方式的相关词汇和文化知识，学生对本单元的话题感兴趣。另外，本模块涉及到形容词、副词比较级和最高级的语法知识，学生在M3已有涉及，已有比较的意识，为本模块的学习奠定了基础。同时学生在听和阅读的过程中，克服生词障碍、猜测词义的能力还有待提高。
