当动词不定式(短语)、动名词或从句用作宾语,且其后跟有宾语补足语时,常用it作形式宾语,而真正的宾语移至句末。这种用法的动词有think,find,believe,make等。
如:我认为对我们来说,在烦闷的工作之后好好休息是有必要的。

① be afraid to do sth. 意为“不敢做某事”, 指的是按照经验或常识不敢去做某事,或没有勇气去做某事。
② be afraid of doing sth.主要用来谈论一件自己(指句子主语)不希望,却可能突然发生的事,这种事可能发生也可能不发生,只是自己有这样一种担心, 即“担心/害怕做某事”。此时不能用be afraid to do sth.结构。

so…that…意为“如此…以至于…”,so是副词,修饰形容词或副词,that引导一个结果状语从句。

fall in love with…… 意为“爱上…”强调动作,不可与表示一段时间的状语连用。be in love with sb. /sth.意为“与某人相爱/喜爱某物”,表示状态,可与表示一段时间的状语连用。

【辨析】too,also,either与as well都可意为“也”,其区别如下:
too 一般用于肯定句句末,意为“也”,并用逗号隔开。
as well 一般用于肯定句句末,意为“也”,不用逗号隔开。
also 用于肯定句中,常位于系动词、助动词或情态动词之后,实义动词之前,意为“也”
either 一般用于否定句句末,意为“也(不)”。
如:我8点钟又打电话,你那时也没接。I called again at eight and you didn’t answer then, _______.
