Teaching aims and demands:
1 Learn the words about colors and the sentence pattern of asking about color..
2 Learn to describe someone’s appearance further by using different colors..
Teaching procedure:
Step 1 Review
1 Sing the song with motions “Head and shoulders, Legs and Feet.”
2 Review how to describe someone’s appearance by using what the students have learned in last topic through a competition, lead to the new lesson.
Step 2 Presentation
1 Let students learn some colors for describing others’ appearance..
2 Move to Part 1a on page 33. Listen to 1a and answer the questions.
(1) Who is the boy (2) What does Michael look like
Step 3 Consolidation
1 Work alone. Do 1b according to 1a. Check the answers. Finish 1b
2 Read 1a. Explain and stress the expressions: look the same, both, don’t have the same looks.
3 Listen to 1a and read after the tape, pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.
4 Work in pairs, then act 1a out.
Step 4 Practice
1 Pair work. Learn more colors of the objects by stressing the sentence pattern “what color is it It’s…”(with the help of the objects around us)
2 Do some match work about color.
3 Play a game about color----color the rainbow.
Step 5 Summary and Homework.
教学反思:
本节课由于课前准备充分(教具准备了彩色笔、课件等),教学过程中联系学生的实际,利用他们身边的实物(尺、铅笔盒、橡皮擦等)并采用了多种活动方式(两人小组活动、四人小组活动、男女生互动活动、两大组互动活动等)来操练What color is… / What color are … 这一句型,所以最大限度的调动了学生的积极性,课堂气氛很活跃,学生参与活动面很广,从而对本节课需要掌握的教学目标完成得比较好,重、难点突出。但是,由于时间紧,活动偏多,就显得活动很仓促。总的来说,较好的完成了本节课的任务。
