Step 1 Review
1. Review the sentence pattern: Does she/he have …
2. Present color pencils and ask the students "Do you have color pencils " Teach the new word " color".
Collect some color pencils from the students, then pick up the color pencils and ask "What color is it " Learn the new words: what color, black, blue, pink, red, purple, brown, white, green, yellow. Understand the new word "gray". Know the new word "blond".
3. Present color cards, then ask and answer.
For example:
T: What color is it
S: It's black.
Repeat these sentence patters. Finish 2a.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Listen to 1a and answer the questions:
(l) Who is the boy
(2) Where is he from
2. Listen to la again and answer the questions:
(1) What color is Yukio’s hair
(2) What color are Yukio’s eyes
(3) What color is Kangkang’s hair
3. Read la. Explain and stress the expressions:

Step 3 Consolidation
1. Listen to 1a and read after the tape, pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.
2. Talk with the tape.
3. Work in pairs, then act la out.
4. Work alone. Do lb according to la. Check the answers. Finish lb.
Step 4 Practice
1. Describe the appearances of Yukio, Kangkang and Michael, using the information in lb. Then read their passages to the class. Finish lc.
2. Pair work. Talk about the colors of the objects around with the partner like this:

2. Show the pictures of the national flags in 3. Let students say their colors as quickly as they can..
3. Let students describe the appearances of one of their classmates or favorite stars with the adjectives learned before.
For example: He has short black hair and big blue eyes...
Step 2 Presentation
1. Look at the pictures in 2. Ask and answer between the teacher and students . Learn and master the new words and phrases “like, look like”, “man” and “woman”. Ask students to pay attention to “men”, “women” and their pronunciations “/men/, /wimin/”. Learn the negative form of “has”. For example: T: What does the woman/man/boy/girl look like
S: She /He…But she/he doesn’t have…(Help the student answer.)
2. Use the real objects and the picture of Michael Jordan to learn the new words and phrases: give, give...to..., letter, sorry, tall, will, young.
3.Listen to la and answer the questions. Then check the answers.

Step 4 Practice
1. Read the descriptions of the four people in 2. Then match them with the right pictures.
2. Write down the colors of the national flags in 3. Check the answers.
3. According to the information in 3, practice in pairs. Finish 3. For example: Picture 1.

Show some pictures of famous stars. Let students use adjectives to describe what he/she looks like.
For example:

Step 2 Presentation
1. Show pictures or real objects of clothes, shoes and caps with different colors.
T: What is this / What are these
Ss: It is ... / They are ...
Teach new words; shoe, cap, coat, skirt, dress. Understand the word "pants".
2. Point to the clothes, shoes and caps, then ask and answer between the teacher and students.

3. Listen to la and match the clothes with the colors.

Step 3 Consolidation
1. Listen to la and read after it, imitating the pronunciation and intonation.
2. Talk with the tape and finish la.
3. Pair work. Ask the students to talk about their clothes, using "What color is/are... " Then encourage one or two pairs to act out their dialogs. Finish 1 b.
4. Look at the pictures in lc and complete the dialog. Check the answers. Then practice the dialog in pairs. Finish lc.
Step 4 Practice
1. Show the picture in 2. First, students talk about the four children, using “Who is he/she What does he/she look like What color is /are… ”. Read the passage in 2. Underline the children's clothes and circle the colors. Let the students find out the usage of "in".
2. Listen to 2 and follow it. Finish 2.
3. Write down the key words of the passage on the blackboard. First , the teacher retells the passage according to the key words, then encourages the students to retell it.

1. Play the game "Guess who he/she is". Ask the students to describe one of his/her classmates including his/her appearance and clothes, then ask the other students to guess who he/she is.

Get students to write down the key words of their answers, then encourages students to say and write down a short passage with the key words. Write as many sentences as they can.
