Step1 Language practice 观察Language practice下方的句子,并试着总结黑体部分的规律。 结论:情态动词may/might‘副词probably表示可能 may或者might表示。情态动词一般无人称和数的变化,后面接的动词需用原形 might表示的可能性比may表示的可能性还要小。 表示可能的副词probably表达,“主语+will probably+v.”。例如: It will probably be cold and wet. Step 2 Grammer practice Complete the sentences with may or probably. (Activity 1) S Ss discuss the problems in group first, then explain the reasons Complete the sentences. Use may, might or probably where necessary. (Activity 3) S Ss discuss the problems in group first, then show the answers. 对句子中涉及的语法进行点拨讲解。

Step 3 Complete the sentences (Activity 4). 1.Read the sentences and choose the words,then use the right form of the words. 2.Ss show the answers and the reasons Step 4 Listen and complete the sentences. (Activity 5) Read the sentences before listening andget ready for the listening. Ask four students to come to the front and write down their answers while they are listening. Check the answers,listen to it again if necessary. Step 5 Look at the world weather map. Answer the questions. (Activity 6) 1.Work in pairs. Ask and answer. 2.Make a weather forecast. Good morning, here is the weather forecast for China today. Beijing will be sunny and the temperature will be between minus six and three degrees above zero. Moscow will be snowy and between minus eight and minus four degrees.And in Cape town, there will be clouds, with a temperature of fourteen to twenty four degrees. Sydney will be rainy and the temperature will be between eighteen and twenty five degrees. Step 6 Complete the passage (Activity 6) Look at the table , understand the weather. Most of the places in China are neither too hot nor too cold in this season. It’s the most comfortable time to travel. If you’re going to visit South China, you should probably bring an umbrella because there may be some rain. You might like to stay in a hotel. You won’t have to pay much for it because hotels are not very expensive here. But I also invite you to stay in my home. I’m happy to be your guide during the holiday.
