① 可单独用于询问姓名、年龄、号码、计算结果、物品等。
例：What’s your name
② 也可与其它名词subject, food, color等“组合”询问更为具体的信息。
例：What color does he like
what作疑问代词，意为“什么”。用于询问“某物/某事”。
3. 用法
why作疑问副词，意为 “为什么” 。用于询问原因时，用 because 引导的句子回答，意为 “因为……”。
例：— Why do you like P.E.
— Because it’s fun.

who作疑问代词，意为“谁”。用于询问“某人” ，在句中可作主语、宾语、表语。作主语时，谓语动词多用单数形式。
whom意为“谁”，只在句中作宾语；
whose意为“谁的”，只在句中作定语。
