教学目标:
1、知识与技能目标:
1)学生能听懂、会说、认读和拼写下列词汇: holiday, bring,give, song
2) 学生能认读、理解和运用下列句子:
Christmas is a Western holiday.
They bring gifts for us.
We sing Christmas songs.
3)培养学生初步听力和阅读能力。
2、能力目标:能够运用所学知识用英语简单介绍圣诞节。
3、情感目标:通过了解圣诞节,进一步感受西方文化氛围,并联想到中国的春节Spring Festival,通过比较异同,培养学生热爱祖国的情感。
4、文化意识目标:让学生了解中西文化差异。
教学重难点:
能用英语熟练说出什么是圣诞节,圣诞节的时间,在圣诞节需要
准备的特殊物品,以及在圣诞节时西方人的活动。
教具:圣诞礼品、圣诞节课件。
教学过程:
Class Opening:
1. Greetings: hello, boys and girls!
2.Free talk:
T: What day is today S: It’s December 2th.
T: How do you feel now S: I feel happy/tired/……
T: But I feel excited. Why Because Christmas is coming!
T: When is Christmas S1:……
S2:It’s December 25th.
二、Ss Learn the new words..
1.T: What’s Christmas It’s a Western holiday.“holiday”, say it, please.
Ss:holiday.
T: On holiday, people don’t work. Children don’t go to school. T: Do you know any Western holiday
S1: New year’s Day.
S2: Mother’s Day.
……
T: Good! Do you know any Chinese holiday
S1: Spring Festival.
S2:Lantern Festival…
T: Yes. These are holidays. Are Sunday and Saturday holidays
SS: ……
T:Yes. Sunday and Saturday are not holidays.
2. T: On holiday,we always have special things. Look, this is a Christmas tree. (Point to the Christmas tree) How does it look like Is it beautiful
T:“Christmas tree”, say it please.
Ss: Christmas tree.
3.T: Look, what’s on the Christmas tree S: They’re lights.
T: Yes, they’re Christmas lights.
T:“Christmas lights”,say it please.
Ss: Christmas lights.
T: Christmas lights are on our house and Christmas trees.
4.T: On Christmas, we can see a special man. Look, here is he. (Show Santa.) Do you know his name His name is Santa. Santa, say it, please.
Ss: Santa.
T: He is a merry man. He is a merry man in red clothes. How does he look like Do you like him
5.I like him very much. Because he brings gifts on Christmas.(Explain “bring”&“give”)
T: I bring my book to class every day. I bring a Christmas card today. Now I give it to you.(将提前准备好的圣诞卡送给一名学生) I wish you have a happy Christmas holiday.
Have ss learn the text.(By watching the CAI课文课件)
Play the audiotape again as the ss read along.
Pairwork:Draw and practise..
Have the students work in pairs to draw a set of the five Christmas items.
Have Ss practice the vocabulary by taking turns asking and answering the following question: What is this eg.
S1: What do you do with this at Christmas (pointing to the Christmas tree)
S2: I put it in my house.
S1: What do you do with these (pointing to the Christmas lights)
S2: I put them on my house.

五、Groupwork: Read and match..
Have Ss discuss the questions in groups.
Have Ss match the questions with the correct answer by drawing a line between the two.
Check the answers.

教学反思:
本课通过呈现生动活泼的动画、歌曲把孩子们的积极性充分调动起来,让他们整体感知圣诞节的节日氛围。通过师生对话,生生对话循序渐进的引出本课的重点知识,在新授知识时有梯度。用电脑课件找出孩子们并不了解的关于圣诞节的知识,让孩子们自己动手进行查找,并给其他孩子进行讲述,培养他们的动手操作能力。孩子们对这部分很感兴趣,同时也拓展了他们的文化视野。
