学情分析：
本单元是人教版新目标英语七年级下册第八单元。主要围绕“Is there a post office near here？”进行问路和指路。初中生好奇心强，对刺激记忆手段多的知识记忆较深刻。另外，本课的新单词虽然很实用但却较多，学生在学习及使用单词的过程中将会产生一些障碍。因此在教学过程中应注意任务的设置，要有明确的实践性和可操作性，这样才有利于提高实际语言的运用能力。
课堂设计理念：
本节课是一节着重培养学生综合语言运用的复习提升课。坚持外语教学“工具性”和“人文性”的统一，以游戏的形式任务组织教学，让学生“学语言”，“用语言”，“在玩中学”，“在学中乐”，采用任务型教学模式和小组合作学习的方式，由单词短语到句型唤醒学生的记忆，最后由说到写篇章，由易到难，让所有的学生通过小组合作方式对本单元的内容得以巩固提升，体现了语言学习的渐进性、实践性和应用性。在学生掌握描述问路指路方法同时进行思想品德教育，注重对学生品格的培养，力求帮助学生形成正确的人生观和价值观。
