The Louvre Museum in Paris, France,
is one of the oldest, largest and most
famous art galleries and museums in
the world. The Louvre was originally a
royal palace, until Louis XIV moved his
court to Versailles in 1682. It became
a public museum in the late 18th
century, and has since built one of the
greatest collections of art in the world
including da Vinci's Mona Lisa
Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People
and Alexandros's Venus de Milo.
