教学设计
教材中本课主要内容分为两个部分,即阅读和写作。
阅读部分主要是通过另一个角度讲述了不同的“冒险”体验,即法国作家儒勒·凡尔纳的科幻小说《海底两万里》的节选片选。本篇文章告诉我们,应该时刻保持对未知事物的探索和追求,过去或当时没有的,未来不一定也没有,而对未知事物探索和追求的态度及思想是要具备的。
在写作部分中,学生将先读到一篇关于介绍潜水的海报,然后引导学生写一篇关于记一次潜水经历的日记。
语言技能目标
学生能够借助关键词,在理解文章大意的基础上,找出段落主题句,完成读前、读后问题;
用所学的词汇和语言的对课文进行复述;
能够读懂细节信息并能理解阅读中生词含义。
语言知识目标
能够正确运用以下单词和短语: league, servant, submarine, charge, captain, ahead, permit, fascinated, chapter, relate, helmet, nut, astonish, ray, consume, distinguish, gradually, surround, wrinkled,, shore, carpet, intensity, vibration, atom, depth, broad, in broad daylight, beneath, resident, male等。
能够理解文章中长难句并准确翻译。
文化意识目标
了解关于科幻故事的意义;
了解人们对科幻故事的理解和态度。
情感态度目标
正确认识科幻故事的意义,时刻提醒自己要有对未知事物的探索和追求精神。
理解文章逻辑关系及架构,理解文章写作意图;
引导学生如何对阅读材料进行总结归纳;
引导学生谈论阅读科幻故事的收获与感想。

Step-1 Reading Activity-1 Pre-reading Read the short introduction to Jules Verne and answer the question. Have you read any stories written by Jules Verne What are they about What amazing things do you think you might find in Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea Activity-2 While-reading Read the passage and underline the key sentences of each paragraph. Find out what the author intends to tell us. Activity-3 Deep-reading Complete the table with expressions from the passage. Think and Share. Activity-4 Post-reading Learning to learn. Work in groups. Imagine you are the marine biologist from the story walking on the sea bed. Talk about your expressions. ① Plan your conversation by answering the questions. What did you wear and how did you breathe Who did you go with What did you see How did you feel ② Have the conversation with your partner. Take turns asking each other questions and respond to you partner’s comment. ③ Give your talk to the class. 活动1:通过课前提问,引发学生思考,进而更好理解本节阅读材料。 活动2:引导学生泛读本篇文章。 活动3:通过读后练习,让学生对文章结构更加清晰,从而更透彻理解文章。 活动4:通过课后表达练习,进一步引导学生理解科幻小说的意义,从而应用到实际生活学习中,真正做到学以致用。 15分钟
Step-2 Writing Activity-1 Pre-writing Read the poster and answer the questions. Where are the divers going on this adventure What are they going to do and see during the trip Which of the experience appeals to you most and why Activity-2 While-writing 1) Based on the last poster, imagine you have been on this adventure. Make notes about your experience. Now write a diary entry about your adventure. Activity-3 Post-writing Work in pairs. Edit your draft and then share your diary entry with the class. 活动1:帮助学生训练收集、理解阅读材料的能力,为接下来的写作做准备。 活动2:训练学生整理写作大纲,让学生在写作时思路清晰。 活动3:通过本活动,训练学生相互批改、赏析作文,提高学生写作能力以及口语表达能力。 20分钟
Step-3 Language points 1. While attacking from the ship, Aronnax and Conseil, along with the whale hunter Ned Land, fell into the sea, and discover that the “creature” is actually a submarine. [句式分析] 本句主要语法点是非谓语动词作状语,此处while理解为“当……时”;此外,词组along with译为“和…一起”,类似with。 [尝试翻译] 在从船上攻击时,阿龙纳斯和康塞尔,以及捕鲸人尼德·兰都落入海中,他们发现那个“生物”实际上是一艘潜水艇。 2. The dazzling carpet, really a reflector, drove away the rays of the sun with wonderful intensity, which accounted for the vibration which passed through every atom of liquid. Step-4 Homework - Think of an adventure story you have read or heard and make notes. Look at the pictures for ideas. - Work in groups. Tell you story to other group members. Use the notes in last activity and the expressions in the box to help you. - Choose one story as your group story and present it to the class.
