一、本单元教材解析
《新课程标准》中指出,义务教育阶段英语课程的总体目标是培养学生初步的综合语言运用能力,并通过英语学习促进学生的心智开展,提高学生的综合人文素养。《Can you play the guitar 》是人教版英语七年级下册第一单元的内容。本单元以“Ability”为中心话题,围绕“谈论彼此在某方面具备的能力,并表达参加俱乐部的意愿和喜好”展开听、说、读、写教学。本单元的话题设置贴近学生的生活,具有时代性和可操作性,能够拓展学生的兴趣爱好,培养学生的团队意识。Section A部分主要内容是通过单词、短语、句型的学习,初步掌握情态动词“can”的用法,并能够运用所学知识和同伴谈论自己的意愿和喜好,表达自己想要参加的俱乐部。Section B 部分主要是对情态动词“can”的复习和巩固,在能够用目标语言进行口头表达的基础上,更深层次地进行目标语言的输出,即能够用书面语言表达自己具备的能力、喜好和意愿,并能够为俱乐部制作海报或招聘广告。在整个教学中,教师应突出以话题为纲,交际功能为主线,精心设计各种任务,以任务为载体,搭建意义交流的舞台。通过教学,使学生对自己的能力充满自信。对于他人的才能则要持客观和欣赏的态度。从而可以实现自我的快乐成长。
学情分析
学生分析:对于农村初中学生而言,英语基础知识和听说能力普遍较差,大部分学生虽然在小学接触过英语,但应用能力十分薄弱,同时,面对学生掌握英语的程度不一,将采用分层教学与整体教学相结合的方式完成教学任务,努力提高他们英语水平。 另外,学生在情感态度,学习策略和文化意识方面还存在诸多需要进一步解决的问题。例如:个别学生不明确学习英语的目的;有些同学对学好英语缺乏自信,不敢用英语表达;缺乏小组合作意识;一些学生没养成良好的学习习惯,不能做好课前预习课后复习,学习没有计划性和策略性;不善于发现和总结语言规律,不注意知识的巩固和积累。
内容分析:主题语境: 以加入社团为话题,通过对能力的讨论,正确认识自己与他人的能力.语言知识: 学习与乐器有关的词汇,以及利用教学图片或制作多媒体课件来展开课堂Pairwork问答式的口语交际活动、小组活动和写作。语音教学:模仿操练。词汇教学:演示讲解、练习,谈论各自的能力。最后能够运用所学知识来描述自己的才能。文化知识:学生了解中外课外活动和社团活动的特点。了解招聘海报的特点。语言技能:能听懂有关才能和社团的词汇和句型: 能读懂有关才能、社团及其招聘的短文,训练抓关键词及把握语篇主旨的能力。 能根据相关资料制作招聘广告或海报, 能看懂主题图所传递的信息。
学习策略:认知策略。
三、本单元教学目标
(一)知识与技能目标:
1. 语言知识目标: 1) 能掌握以下单词: guitar, sing, swim, dance, chess, play chess, draw, speak, speak English, join, club, drum, tell, musician and so on.
2) 能掌握以下短语: speak English, play chess, play the guitar/violin, be good at/with, talk to, make friends ,on the weekend/on weekends, tell stories/tell a story.
3)能掌握以下句型: ① —Can you play the guitar —Yes, I can./ No, I can't. ② —What can you do —I can dance. ③ —What club do you want to join —I want to join the chess club.
4)能了解以下语法:情态动词can表能力的用法,want to do sth.的用法。(二)情感态度价值观目标:
本单元谈论的话题是能力。通过互相询问或谈论自己或对方在某一方面的能力,可以培养学生的一种群体意识。让学生正确认识自己与他人的能力。

(四)教学重难点
1. 教学重点: 1) 学习询问和谈论彼此的能力和特长;
2) 掌握一些弹奏乐器的表达方式。
2. 教学难点: 情态动词can的构成和使用。学生能运用所学知识介绍自己的才能;能够谈论自己的喜好与意愿;能够为自己成立的各种俱乐部制作海报;会写招聘广告。

Period 1: Section A (1a-1c)

Ss look at the picture in 1a. Then read the words and phrases. Let Ss match the activities with the people. Then Check the answers with the class together.

Step 2:Presentation
Look at the pictures and talk about the others: He/She can dance/swim/sing , and learn more new words and phrases。

Step 3: Game (What can I do )
T: Tell your partners what you can do. For example:
I can play the guitar. I can sing and dance.
Ss work in groups. The let some Ss talk to their classmates in front of the class.

Step 4: Listening
1. T: Now let’s listen to the tape, find out the right conversation, and number them 1-3. 2. Check the answers.

Ask the Ss to practice the conversations in 1b with a partner.

1. Work on 2a;
Look at the pictures on P2. Just listen. Then, listen again, and circle the clubs you hear. Check the answers with the class.
2. Work on 2b;Check the answers with the Ss.

Step 2: Pair work
1. Look at 2b and talk about what the people can do and the clubs they want to join.

2. Ability Objects:
To help Ss talk about what they can do about instruments with the sentence pattern:—Can you play the piano No, I can't. / Yes, I can.
3.Moral Objects:

Step 1: Leading-in
1. Enjoying pieces of music
T play a few pieces of music by different kinds of musical instruments to arouse their interest.

单元教学内容与要求
本单元围绕“Ability”这一主题及“Joining a club”这一话题展开听,说,读,写等多种教学活动。通过本单元的学习,学生能够掌握情态动词can的用法,运用目标语言询问或谈论具备的才能,表达自己的喜好与意愿,并能够写作招聘广告或制作海报。在学习中,培养学生的兴趣爱好,提高团队合作意识。
单元作业的目标:掌握所学目标语言,学会就能力这一话题进行表达,掌握新单词、新短语、新句型和情态动词can的用法。

三、作业实施与反思
作业布置是义务阶段英语教学的补充和延续,尤其是在大力倡导课改的今天,作业设计更是新课改的重要环节。作业的布置,一方面,可以让学生消化和巩固课堂上所学的知识。另一方面,每个学生对知识的掌握程度,都可以从作业里反映出来。教师可以根据学生的作业反馈,可以更好的制定的自己的教学计划。本单元作业的设计,根据大纲要求,参照近年来九年级学业水平考试的题型,紧跟教学目的,突出教学重难点,选题适量。难易结合,基础与提高相结合。
在双减政策的大背景下,教师在作业设计方面更要下功夫。作业的设计要具有导向性、层次性、趣味性和时代性。通过巧设作业,使学生巩固深化新知识,促进学生语言能力的形成。真正做到面向全体学生,促进综合素质的提高,从而达到育人的目标。
