Introduction (8 minutes)1.Greet students and sing a song I can sing it well—Can you sing Yes, I can. Can you dance No, I can’t. Can you... Yes, I can. I can ...well. Let students sing it after the tape for several times. Then sing the song together.2.Create a situation: A student will have a birthday party. Everyone will go to the party. Now, they are talking about what they will do at the party. Presentation (12 minutes)1.Point out a question: What are Jane and Maria talking about Let students listen to the tape carefully.2.Let one student answer the question. Then point out the key sentences on the blackboard.3.Ask some students to answer the questions: Do you want to ... or ... Can you ...or... Choose some students to make a summary about the Or Questions.4.Play the tape and let students read after the tape again; Choose some students to read the dialog in pairs.5.Let students match Jane and Maria with what they can do at Kangkang’s birthday party.Consolidation (8 minutes)1.Let students work in pairs and make up a conversation about what they can do at a birthday party.2.Choose some pairs to show their conversations.
