一、教材分析
本模块的Unit 2 是<<英语>> (新标准)系列教材中MODULE 8的第二个单元,根据新标准的要求, 第二单元是以培养学生的读写能力为主,包括词汇,语法的学习活动。通过unit 1中谈论“Tony的生日过程”的听说活动,过渡到本单元“如何为他人选择礼物”的读写活动,通过逐步递进,由易到难的教学以及活动,培养学生基础语言能力,阅读能力和语言听说能力的训练 , 最终实现听说读写的综合学习, 实现本模块的任务教学。
二、Teaching aims
1. To get information from the reading material about choosing birthday presents.
2. To write a description of one’s partner.
3. To get to know compound nouns.

四、Emotional aims:
使学生能从阅读材料中寻找“选择生日礼物”的信息,了解异国送礼习俗,培养学生乐于交友,乐于与他人合作,健康向上的品格。
五、Learning & teaching focus:
本节课是一节读写课。课程标准要求要培养学生养成良好的阅读习惯,指导学生运用恰当的阅读方法获取信息、处理信息。使学生能从阅读材料中寻找“选择生日礼物”的信息。

八、Teaching Procedures
Step 1:Lead-in
watch a video “happy birthday”
设计意图:看一段小视频导入话题,创设良好的语言活动氛围。引起学生兴趣。
Step 2: Warming-up
1. Show some pictures, ask the students to look at the pictures, then talk something about the pictures.
2. Introduce the new words.
3. Read the new words.
4. Read through the list of presents and have the students repeat them after you chorally and individually.
5. Brain storm, call back the answers from the whole class.
设计意图:呈现本课新词汇,通过图片的展示,创设了一定的语言情境,使学生在情境中充分体验单词含义,将词汇的音、形、意有机结合,加深对新词汇的理解。为阅读做好词汇铺垫。

设计意图:培养学生选择适当的阅读方法,引导学生由获取段落大意到对文章细致了解,并通过阅读能力题的设置,培养学生推理、分析等阅读技能,深入地理解文章。
Step4: Post-reading

设计意图:运用对话再次熟悉课文内容,使学生更好地掌握语言结构,复述课文即是语言知识内化的过程,为下一步的真实语言运用做好铺垫;
Step5:summary
Get the students to sum up the language points.
设计意图:引导学生对这节课的总结,让学生做自由发言,培养学生自主学习,自主总结的良好学习习惯
Step6:Development

设计意图:充分调动了学生的参与意识,培养他门自主,探究,合作的精神,并把快乐融入学习之中,充分体现了“任务型”的教学,进一步提高了学生口语表达能力和写作的能力。
