教学过程:
一、Pre-writing
1. Greeting
2. Leading-in
学生活动:学生以小组讨论的形式完成活动5。Read the invitation to an art festival and answer the questions.
第一步:学生独立阅读语篇,关注每一段的主题,感知邀请函的语言风格。
第二步:学生以小组为单位,阅读并讨论语篇后的问题,并画出语篇中邀请对方时使用的表达。
第三步:请部分学生回答问题,全班核对答案。

2 The invitation is written in formal style. First, it has an invitation card; second, the language is formal, like"...requests the honour of your presence at..." third, it contains a specific date and address.
While-writing
An invitation should give clear details about the name, place and time of the event, and details about how to reply. A formal invitation letter may use either the third person or first person "we" with the place and date often spelt out. The wording and tone should be formal rather than conversational.
如何写邀请信
写作指导
邀请信是邀请对方参加宴会、舞会、晚餐、婚礼、展览、演出等各种场合的邀请信件。邀请信常用第一人称,时态以一般现在时为主。邀请信一般采用三段式结构:第一段表明写作意图;第二段为主体部分,提出建议并阐明理由;第三段结尾,表达希望。信件内容一定要清楚、明白,要写清楚三个方面的内容:
(1)邀请对方参加活动的具体内容、时间和地点;
(2)邀请对方的原因;
(3)期待对方接受邀请。
2. 增分表达
(1)常用短语:
participate in the party参加聚会
on behalf of our school代表我们学校
benefit from the event从活动中获益
make a difference有影响
take measures to do sth.采取措施做某事
be grateful for your coming感谢你的到来
(2)常用句式:
① I'm now writing on behalf of the classmates to invite you to come and attend it.我现在代表同学写信邀请你来参加。
② I sincerely invite you to watch the show because..我诚挚地邀请你观看这个节目,因为……
③ Here is a brief schedule(about this activity).First and foremost ...In addition…Last but not least, 这是一份(关于这次活动的)简短日程表。首先也是最重要的……此外……最后但同样重要的是……
④ There will be many activities, such as...会有很多活动,比如……
⑤ I wonder if you'd like to go with me.我想知道你是否愿意和我一起去。
学生活动:学生完成活动6,为写作做准备。Imagine you are helping to prepare an art festival in your school. Answer the questions to help you write the invitation.
1 What is the topic of the art festival
2 When and where will it be held
3 What artworks will be included
4 What style will you use for the invitation
Now write your invitation.
三、After-writing
学生两人一组,交换写作内容,进行同伴互评,并根据同伴的反馈和意见,对文本进行修改。
全班交流并展示写作成果,教师从语言的准确性、文本的连贯性以及表达的得体性这三个角度进行点评。
