2.Students read the passage and think of the following questions and share

(2)In what environment did the leaves grow
(3)What do the flowers look like
3.Students read the passage and get the characteristic and the structure of it.
4.Students read the observational journal and find out the useful expressions
and sentences in writing.
1.Teacher asks the students to look at the pictures on the textbook.
Before
2.Students look at the pictures and discuss the structure and the key points to
writing
be used in the passage
1.Students read the evaluation criteria of writing an observational journal.
2.Students write a short passage to describe how the sunflower grows.

3.Students share their passage with the students,and evaluate the passage to
the criteria.
1.The teacher presents students'draft to the whole class and guides other
students to do peer-assessment.
Revision
2.The teacher guides students to learn how to revise writing.
