1. Sam has longer hair than Tom.
萨姆的头发比汤姆的长。
这是一个含有形容词比较级的句子。比较级用于两者或两类事物之间的比较,“更……,较……”。通常用从属连词than连接,表示比较。
比较级的结构:A +have/has+形容词比较级+名词+ than+B;A+be+形容词比较级+than +B。
2. That’s Tara, isn’t it
在反意疑问句中,当陈述部分的主语是指示代词this或that时,附加疑问句的主语用it;当陈述部分的主语是指示代词these或those时,附加疑问句的主语用they。

注意:反意疑问句是由两部分组成的,前一部分是陈述句,后一部分是简短疑问句,中间用逗号隔开。如果前一部分用肯定句,后一部分就用否定疑问句;两部分的人称和时态要一致。

as…as… “与……一样……”。中间接形容词或副词的原级。否定结构 not as…as…,“不如……那样……”。

both adj. & pron. 两个;两个都

1) both用作形容词,置于被修饰的名词前。
2) both用作代词,可单独使用,也可用于both of...结构。作主语时,谓语动词要用复数形式。
both 适用于两者 They both work hard.
all 适用于三者或三者以上 All of the students are silent.
both...and... ……和……都;既……又……
Both Ann and her brother like listening to soft music.
Dong Qing works as both a hostess and a producer.
both...and...通常用来连接两个并列的句子成分,若连接两个并列成分作主语,谓语动词用复数形式。
5.loudly adv. 大声地;响亮地
由loud (adj. 喧闹的;响亮的)+-ly(副词后缀)构成,其比较级为more loudly。
构词法
形容词加-ly 构成副词。
e.g. quick → quickly quiet → quietly
cheap → cheaply beautiful → beautifully
clear → clearly
loudly 作副词,含有“喧闹”的意味。比较级是 more loudly。
loud 可以作形容词,意为“大声的”,也可以作副词,意为“响亮地;大声地”。作副词时和 loudly 同义。loud 的比较级是louder。
aloud 只能作副词,强调为使人听见而发声,声音不一定很大。
辨析:loudly, loud 与 aloud
Don’t speak and laugh loudly in public.
不要在公共场合大声说笑。
He should not speak so loud.
