Teaching Steps
1. Warming-up and revision
(1)Greeting the students.
(2)Students practice greeting with their English names. .(5’)

(3)Playing a game — Guessing the letters(5’)
抽学生上台通过手势或肢体语言表现Aa — Hh,让其他学生猜所表现的字母。
【设计意图】相互用英文名字打招呼,使学生进一步熟悉更多的英文名字;学生上台做手势或肢体语言表现字母;既有助于培养学生的注意力又是对字母读音的一个有效复习。加上游戏本身的趣味性可以活跃课堂气氛,使复习字母变得不再枯燥。
2. Work on 4a (10’)
(1)T: Show some pictures on the screen. Look at the picture.
Who are they Do you know their names
T: Who is Cindy/ Frank/ …
Please point it out and try your best to write down their names.
T: Now open your books and turn to Page 4.
Write the names of the children on page S1.
Then write the names in the alphabetical order in the list.
(3)Check their answers. (提醒学生注意名字的第一个字母应大写。)
【设计意图】通过找图中孩子的名字,让学生进一步熟悉书上所出现的人物的英文名字有利于培养学生的观察力,对孩子名字的排序有助于增强学生对Aa-Hh的记忆,增强学生的学习趣味性。在屏幕上展示并且在黑板上板书,书写时第一个字母应大写,两个单词间留有一个字母的间隔。
3. Work on 4b (5’)
(1)Play the recording for the first time. Students only listen.
(2)Play the recording for the second time. Students listen and repeat.
(3)Ask some students to read the letters and words.
The teacher will correct their pronounciation.

【设计意图】先听后读,培养学生的注意力和集中精力听音的好习惯。并且有利于纠正学生的发音。
4. Work on 4c (5’)
(1)Ask students to listen and repeat these words.
Make sure Ss understand the difference
between the two ‘a’ sounds and the two ‘e ’ sounds.
(2)Check their pronunciations.
Ask students to read these words and correct their pronounciations.
【设计意图】这部分内容对学生而言有一定难度,通过朗读,让学生观察字母a,e在开音节和闭音节中的读音规则,通过对比让学生了解到同样一个字母在不同单词中的差异,学会准确区分,有助于培养他们的自学能力。
5. Work on 4d (5’)
(1)Play the song for the students to listen.
(2)Students listen and sing the song after the recording.
(3)Students sing the song together.
【设计意图】学会这首歌曲也就意味着掌握了本单元的重点句型。学歌既是一种美的熏陶,也是复习的一种有效手段。

教学反思:这节课有一定的趣味性也有一定的挑战性。特别是关于音节的学习是个难点。要提醒学生注意音素与字母的区别。鼓励学生大声的朗读,并培养学生良好的观察总结能力。通过对比让学生了解到同样一个字母在不同单词中的差异,学会准确区分,有助于培养他们的自学能力。鼓励学生根据发音特点去挑战新的单词读音。七年级刚刚开始正式学习英语,学生应该是充满了好奇和“恐惧”,老师应根据学生的特点尽可能多的去设计些课堂活动,充分调动学生的积极性,吸进学生的注意力。兴趣是最好的老师,让同学们从“我要学英语”变成“我爱学英语”。
