The courses last for four, six or eight weeks. They start at the end of July. Our teachers are well trained. You can work in small or large groups. We provide books and we set tests every week to check your progress.

由并列连词and，but，or等连接的并列复合句是中考 的常见考点之一，通常出现在完形填空、语法填空等题型 中。在书面表达中，如果能正确使用并列复合句，也会使 文章增色不少，使文章获得高分成为可能。
1 英语句子种类的划分
按使用目的，句子可分为陈述句、疑问句、 祈使句和感叹句四类；按结构，句子可以分为简单 句、并列句和复合句三类。
2 并列句
1. 基本概念
并列句又叫并列复合句，由两个或两个以上并列 而又独立的简单句构成。其基本结构为“简单句+ 并列连词+简单句”。两个简单句常由并列连词连 在一起；但有时不用连词，只在两个简单句之间 用分号隔开。
Hurry up, or you’ll be late. 快点儿，否则你就迟到了。
We fished all day; we did not catch a single fish.
我们钓了一整天鱼；我们一条鱼都没钓到。
2. 常见的并列连词
①表示并列关系的连词有and，not only...but also...，neither...nor...等，and所连接的前后分句 往往表示先后关系、递进关系。
He helps me and I help him. 他帮我，我帮他。
②表示选择关系的连词有or，either...or...等。
Either you do it, or I ask somebody else to do it.
要么你来做，要么我请其他人来做。
③表示转折关系的连词有but，yet等。
It never rains but it pours. 不鸣则已，一鸣惊人。
④表示因果关系的连词有for，so等。
I am thirsty, for it is hot. 我口渴，因为天气热。
Tom got a fever, so he was absent from school.
汤姆发烧了，所以他没去上学。
3. 并列句的时态问题
一般来说，并列句的时态前后要保持一致；若前 面的简单句是祈使句，连词后面的句子常用将来 时态。
Study hard and you will make progress.
