Information about the students in this class:The students are in Grade7. They are 13 or 14 years old. Their first language is Chinese. Most of them have been learning English for 4 or 6 years. Some of them like reading in English very much, but they find it difficult to concentrate on reading tasks.
Main aim:By the end of the lesson, students will be better able to write for accuracy in the context of the buildings’ positionSubsidiary aim:By the end of the lesson, students will be better able to use the new vocabulary in written form in the context of the buildings’ position.Personal aim(s):To give short clear instruction. 6. Feedback Make a clear sentence structure. Pay attention to the grammar and the article “the”. Check together. Highlight the structure and the article.Then leave a model sentence on the board. T-Ss 1 minute
7. Writing Use the grammar in the written form. Task 4. T: At first, draw on the picture where you are (The teacher does a model. )Then according to the picture, write on the paper where the places are You must use the new vocabulary. S 8 minutes
8. Check There are different ways to describe the positions, they can check and learn from each other. Check in pairs. At first show your position on the map. They others will Check if your description for the locations of different buildings is right or not. Ss-Ss 5 minutes
9. Feedback To share the writings. To motivate them and feedback. Ask students to show their writings. (If there are some errors try to correct them, if they do a good job, remember to praise them.) S- Ss 3 minutes
