Show the picture of our school and have a free talk: Do you like our school? Do you have any after-school activities? What do you think school is like? What’s your favorite subject?
1. T: You know we all need to go to school but Hobo don’t think dogs need to go to school. Do you know why? Let’s listen to their conversation and answer the questions.
1) Why don’t dogs go to school?

2. Read the comic after the recorder for several times.
3. Go through some important language points.
4. Ask students to act it out in class.
Lead the students to think about: What’s school like? And then write all the opinions on the blackboard. For some weaker students, the teacher may give them some topics as a guide

1. Read the dialogue in Part B and underline the British words and write the American words above them.
2. To Consolidate what they have learned, let the students watch a video about differences between British English and American English and then fill in the blanks.
