point to意为“指向……”，多指远处。

[探究]southeast意为“东南”，是由“south＋east”合成的单词。类似的词还有________(西南)，________(东北)，northwest(西北)。以上方位合成词的顺序与汉语正好相反。
[拓展] (1)“A＋be＋in/on/to the east/west/south/north/southeast…＋of＋B.”意为“A在B的东方/西方/南方/北方/东南方……”。
