Present Continuous Tense
[教材分析]

[设计思路]
根据上述设计理念以及《牛津初中英语》Grammar板块的设计特点,讲课堂氛围六大板块:1. 通过动画及表演映入话题,了解什么是现在进行时以及其基本结构2.通过小公主的各种动作实例,总结现在分词变化的四种规则并进行有效操练 3. 结合小公主的朋友邻居的实例,引出现在进行时在肯定句、否定句、一般疑问句和特殊疑问句中的做法4. 通过描述图片,同伴对话,小组表演,分组竞赛等形式操练现在进行时在在不同情境下的运用 5.引导学生讨论故事中做学到的道路,总结和升华 6.结合所学,指导学生回家复习和巩固现在完成时的形式和用法

[教学过程]
Step 1: Warming up
1. Music and video
1)Play the song Jingle Bells and lead to the topic of Christmas
2)Show a video of little princess and introduce a new friend to students
2. A guessing game
1) Give some Christmas cards and ask students to do as the card says
2) Ask other students to guess what they are doing and introduce the examples of the present continuous tense
3) According to the examples , let students find out what present continuous tense is as well as its basic structure
Step 2: Rules of present participle
1.Rules of present participle
1) show some pictures of what people are doing and give the examples of verbs
2) lead students to change the verbs into -ing forms and summarize the rules
2. Review and practice
1) show the examples in a form and lead students to review the rules
2) help the verbs go back home and change them into the correct forms
Step 3: Present continuous tense in different situations
1.Present continuous tense in positive and negative sentences
1) show some pictures of what little princess’s friends are doing and ask students to talk about them
2) according to the sentence given by students, work out the forms of the present continuous tense in positive and negative sentences
3) show some pictures and ask students to talk about them (practice positive and negative sentences)
2.Present continuous tense in yes or no questions
1) show part of the pictures and ask students with yes or no questions
2) according to the examples, work out work out the forms of the present continuous tense in yes or no questions
3) show some pictures and ask students to work in pairs and make a dialogue
3.Present continuous tense in wh-questions
1) by the example of little princess’s best friend Amy, introduce the structure of present continuous tense in wh-questions
2) work in groups and give some performances and ask other students to guess
Step 4: Practice and consolidation
1.Help little princess to complete the dialogue
1)ask students to fill in the blanks and invite two students to read the dialogue
2) check the answers and teach some new phrase
2.Help little princess to decorate the Christmas tree
1)watch a video and find that the Christmas tree is broken
2)divide students into two groups and finish the tasks, if one answers a
question correctly, he or she can get a star for his or her group’s tree
3)decorate the trees and help little princess
Step 5: Review and further thinking
1. Help little princess review and read together
2. Discuss what we can learn form little princess’s story
3. Draw a conclusion and give some advice
