第一环节:导入话题 Step 1 Lead in Brainstorming 1.Read the introduction and know about the background of writing, discuss the question: What disasters may take place in our city 2.Read the short report about a typhoon and then discuss what ss can do to help the homeless. 1.Help students think about the question and note down their discussion. e.g. floods, typhoons, earthquakes, fires 2.Ask ss: What happened to Garden City last weekend How many people were killed because of the typhoon How many people lost their homes in the typhoon What do you think of the typhoon 1.To help ss to identify with the situation. 2.Help ss understand the report.
第二环节: 写作板块的任务 Step 2 Writing 3.Finish the writing. Finish writing a notice to call on people to protect the environment and protect homes. 4.Discuss the essential sentences of the notice. 5.Finish the writing according to the discussion. 3.Ask the students to finish the writing according to exercise A. 4.Help ss think of the essential sentences of the passage. 5.Guide ss to organize a well-written passage. 3.To help ss finish the task. 4.To consolidate what ss've learned about writing a notice
第三环节:课堂练习 Step 3 Practice Students work in groups and write a passage according to the teacher's instructions. Then their partner check their work, after the presentation.
第四环节:课时小结 Step 4 Development Improve ss' work and rewrite them. Help ss to develop their work in words, sentences and structure. Let ss improve the writing.
