1. — What’s this in English 这个用英语怎么说
— It’s a jacket. 它是一件夹克衫。
in English意为“用英语”，in在此为介词，表示“用语言、声音、方法”等。 in Chinese用汉语。
(2)在英语中What’s this (=What is this )常用于确认物品, 意为“这是什么 ”指离说话者较近的人或物时用this, 离说话者较远的人或物时用 that, 回答用“It’s a/an. . . ”。

2. It’s an orange.它是一个桔子。
(1)单数第三人称代词，常代替上文中的单数可数名词或不可数名词，也可代指this或 that，it’s 是 it is 的缩写形式。
意为“它是、它在”。用于回答What’s this
或者What’s that — What’s this — It’s an English book.
（2）不定冠词a和an的用法
在英语中a ,an是不定冠词, 常用于单数可数名词前表示泛指或指一类事物。
a用在以辅音音素开头的词或字母之前。
例如: a book /b k/ 一本书 (/b/是辅音)
an用在以元音音素开头的词或字母之前。
例如: an apple一个苹果（/ /是元音）
