Teaching Aims:
1.Ss can read and undersand the new words and expressions.
2.Ss can grasp the key information and details by listening.
3.Ss can express their own opinions in English correctly.
Teaching procedures:
Step1 Lead-in
1.Play the music of the cartoon film Zootopia sung by Shakira.
2.Revise the different types of TV programmes.
Step2 Before listening
1.Show students a form, get them to predict the information of the three students.

2.T:Millie and Simon are giving their views on TV advertisements. work in pairs and tell your partner your point of view .Use theconversation below as a model.
3.Listen and answer the questions:

4.Give Ss some key words . Ask students to discuss in pairs like this:

5.Show students some pictures of TV viewing habits, ask them to talk about if their TV viewing habits are good or bad.
6.Give Ss the teacher’s advice:
1)Watching TV can make us relaxed, but don’t too much;
2)Watching TV can help us know more,but choose right programmes that can help improve yourselves;
3)Manage your time better and achieve a balance between your schoolwork and TV.
Step6 Activity
1.Ask Ss to work in groups of four and design a piece of advertisement to protect our own home--- the Earth.
2.Show some of their works on the screen.
Step6 Homework
1.Write an article about your TV viewing habits.
2.Finish some exercises of this period.
