Imagine that your 50-year-old future self has sent you a letter about your future career. What would that letter contain Work in groups. Discuss the questions.
1. Which careers are you interested in
We know different careers in present world. Think of the jobs you are interested in and guess what careers may appear according to the development of technology.
2. How might future advances in technology change those careers
Think about the disadvantages of the career at present. Think of ways to make it better.
3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of these future careers
You can divide your members in two groups. One think about the advantages and the other find out the parts that need to be improved.
4. How might you best prepare for your future careers
List the demands that the career have. Then find out what advantages you have and in what part you have to improve yourself. Discuss how you can improve yourself in these parts.
Choose the most interesting future career, and write a personal letter to yourself from the future about that career. Use the letter on page 23 to help you.
