1.Lead-in: Last summer Jane tried paragliding in Malaysia.Here are the photos.Do you want to know her trip in Malaysia Show some pictures on the big screen.
2. These are Jane’s diary entries about her vacation.Listen and find out the places mentioned in the diaries.

Read Jane’s diary entries about her vacation and answer the following two questions. (Activity 2b)
① Did Jane have a good time on Monday

1) Read Jane’s first diary and complete.

1. Language points:
1)decide作不及物动词,意为“决定;选定”。常用结构:decide to do sth. 决定做某事。否定形式: decide not to do sth. 决定不做某事。decide还可以接名词、代词、疑问词+不定式、名词性从句作宾语。名词形式为decision, 常用make a decision to do sth.
2)try意为“ 尝试,努力”,既可以作为动词,也可以作为名词。常用句型为:1) try to do sth. 努力做某事 2) try doing sth. 尝试做某事 3) try one’s best to do sth.尽某人最大努力做某事 4)have a try 试一试
3)felt 是feel的过去式,feel like在此是动词短语
feel like+名词 给……的感觉;感受到
feel like+从句 觉得好像是……
feel like 还可意为“很想”, feel like +doing sth. 想做某事
4)wonder作及物动词,表示“想知道”、 “对……感到怀疑”、“对……感到惊讶”、 “纳闷”。常见用法:后接 who, what, why, where 等引导的宾语从句。It’s no wonder (that)...= No wonder (that)...难怪……;……不足为奇
5)本句是由what引导的感叹句。结构:What+单数可数名词(词组)+主语+谓语!此句式所强调的成分是what后面的名词。what引导的感叹句修饰名词还有以下两种句型:
what +形容词+不可数名词\可数名词复数+(主语+谓语)!
what +a \an +形容词+可数名词单数+(主语+谓语)!
6)because of 为介词短语,意为“因为;由于”,其后可接名词、代词或名词性短语。注意:because 和 because of 的意思都是“ 因为 ”, 但是because 是连词,其后接句子;because of 是复合介词,其后接名词、动名词。
