5. Be able to use correct tones when ask general questions and specific questions.
6. Be able to read the dialogue on the book correctly and fluently and try to make a new dialogue according to the book.
7. Be able to make friends and try to be nice to your friends.

三.Teaching steps
(一). Warm up
(1). Free talk:
The teacher introduces herself and asks some students their
names.
(2). Review:
The teacher ask students to say something about her with sentences: Miss You has… and Miss You is …
(3). Chant:
I have long hair. I have short hair. …
(二). Presentation and practice
1. Teaching photo
The teacher shows some photos and says I have many friends, too. Look! Here are their photos, photo, photo. Then ask Ss to spell this word and tell them ph say [f],o says [eu], t says [t].
2. Drill photo
Use low and high voice to pratice this word
3. Teaching his&her
The teacher says: These are the photos of my friends. Let me brief them. Look at this girl. Her name is Amy. This is her photo. Then teach the pronunciation of her and practice this word one by one. The teacher says the full sentences on the ppt, “ I have a friend. Her name is Amy. This is her photo.” Then ask Ss “Is Amy your friend, too ”. Next ask the class to brief Amy and ask a few students to do it. Then the teacher shows the photo of Chen Jie and asks students to fill in the blanks to make sure that the most students acquire the pronunciation of her. Next show the photo of Mike and introduce word his, teach it and practice it.
4. Practice his name, her name, his photo, her photo
Ask a student to come in the front of the classroom. The teacher puts the paper which is digged up a circle in front of the student’s face and introduces her: this is my friend. Her name is … This is her photo. Look, she has … She is … Then ask the class to introduce their partners and at last ask a few pairs to role play.
5. Introduce the text
The teacher says: Look, this is John’s photo, too. Is he happy The Ss will say no. Then the teacher asks Ss to listen to the radio and find out the reason why John is sad. John’s mother asks him to make friends in the playground. John follows his mother’s advice and makes a friend with a dog. In this part, the teacher asks Ss to practice the dialogue between John and his mother. Then John’s mother asks him to make a friend in the classroom.
6. The main text
John goes back home happily and tells his mother he has a new friend. Then let Ss watch a video and answer 3 questions: what’s John’s friend’s name Is he tall and strong Is he from China After Ss answer the question and let them listen to it again and fill in the blanks. Next the class read the dialogue and have a memory game to find out the missing sentences in the ppt. At last the groups role-play.
(三).Consolidation
The teacher shows Ss a photo of Liu Yun and her information: age, sex, nationality and name. The teacher makes a dialogue with a student to brief Liu Yun. Then she asks Ss to make a dialogue with their partner to brief one of his\her friends.
(四).Homework
Level 1: Read the dialogue on the book
Level 2: Role-play the dialogue on the book
Level 3: Make a dialogue with your partner to brief your friend.
