一、教学目标
1. 理解和掌握下列词汇和短语:in, library, ask, ask... for..., find, some, classroom, e-mail, at, call, lost, must
2.能够读懂一些简单的寻物和招领启事,并且能够在阅读中根据上下文进行预测。
3. 通过阅读“寻物启事和失物招领”。培养学生拾金不昧的良好品质以及提醒学生努力克服丢三落四的坏习惯。

Step 1 Warm-up
Watch a video and think about what they should do if they lose their things.
【设计意图】通过观看遗失物品的视频,引出失物招领这一话题并且引起学生的学习兴趣,使学生尽快投入到学习状态中去。
Step 2 Pre-reading
Work on 2a
1. Students write the things they lose easily.
2. Talk about the things they lose easily according to these questions.
(1) Have you ever picked up others’ things or lost anything
(2) What are they
(3) What will you do with these things
(4) How did you return or find them
(5) If you lose something, what should you do
【设计意图】通过写下自己经常丢失的物品,以及与老师同伴交流物品丢失后应该怎么做,为接下来的失物招领和寻物启事的阅读活动铺设背景。
Step 3 While-reading
Work on 2b~2c
1. Read the notices on the board and circle the lost things.
2. Read the notices again and write down the items. Then check (√) Lost or Found.
3. The teacher shows some reading guides.
(1) 在第一条信息中,开头是Lin Hai,结尾是Mike,由常识可知是Mike给Lin Hai的留言条,关键句“Is it yours 它是你的吗?”,可知是Mike拾到的该物。故此条是Found条。
(2) 由第二条信息中的第一句话“Is this your watch ”,可知是John捡到的手表。故此条也是Found条。
(3) 第三条和第四条信息中明确有Found和Lost的说明,故较容易确定。

5. I must find it. 我必须找到它。
must (情态动词)必须
You must finish it today. 你一定要在今天完成它。
You must see the doctor. 你一定要看医生。
对于must 开头一般疑问句,若要作否定回答,可用needn’t,不用mustn’t。如:
—Must I come over tonight 我今晚必须过来吗
—No, you needn’t. 不必。
