Part I. Teaching Objectives
1. Knowledge objectives
(1).To enable students learn the power of colours
(2).To enable the students to have a good understanding of a colour therapist
(3). To enable students learn how to express their preferences.

(1).To help students get information from listening materials.
(2).To help students read the advertisement quickly
(3). To help students improve reading ability,listening ability and speaking ability

(1).To enjoy the beauty of different colours.
(2).To guide them to form a colourful life to enjoy themselves
Part II. Teaching emphasis and difficulties
1.Teaching emphasis
(1). To get the students to learn about the colour therapist
(2).To get the students to learn different skills especially finding out more information through listening.
(3).To get the students to know more about how to express their preferences

(1).To develop the students’reading ability,listening ability and speaking ability
(2).To enable the students to learn how to express their preference

Part IV : Teaching process
Step 1.lead in : a guessing game
1. present them some pictures
blue,thin, mushrooms. Ask students to guess a catchword on the Internet
2.show other pictures about colours. Let students know how the colours influence our moods.
T: What can you see in the picture What colour is it
S: It’s blue
T: What does blue represent
S: Blue represents sadness.
T: When we say “I am feeling blue”that means “I am feeling sad”,anything else
S Blue is a calm colour ,it brings peace to our mind and body. It can make people feel relaxed.

Task1: reading
Read the advertisement on p29and answer some questions
Learn about something about colour therapy

Task5:Speak up
1.Listen to the tape and answer some questions

Because she thinks jeans are comfortable and they match Andy’s shirt.
2.Follow the tape and read the dialogue one by one
3.Read the dialogue freely and ask some students to act it out

Have a discussion with their partners and speak it up
