大多数形容词和副词有三个等级,即_______、________和________。

①一般情况,在词尾直接加-er;如tall-taller long-longer
②以不发音的e结尾的,加-r;如nice- nicer large-larger
③以辅音字母加y结尾的,变y为i,再加er;

④以重读闭音节结尾的,并且末尾只有一个辅音字母的,双写最后一个辅音字母,再加er;如 big-bigger thin-thinner
⑤ 在多音节和部分双音节词前加more构成比较级。如:

⑥不规则变化。如:
good/well—better bad/badly—worse
many/much—more little—less far—farther/further

学习任务二:形容词、副词比较级的用法
1. 找规律:
⑴ I’m more outgoing than her.
⑵ She is very heavy.
⑶ He works as hard as Tina.
小结:比较级表示两者之间的比较,常用于句型:主语+谓语动词+形容词/副词比较级+than+比较对象; 而原级前常有very/quite/pretty修饰,用于句型:主语+谓语动词+形容词/副词原级。

3. 童鞋们,让我们来一起翻译下面的句子吧!
①山姆比汤姆矮。

③ An elephant is much heavier than a pig.
④ Tom is a little shorter than his friend Jim.
4.你们有没有注意到句子中加黑单词的翻译,much,表示“……得多”,a little表示“一点儿”。它们是用来修饰比较级的。类似的词汇还有even(更加)、far、a lot(……得多)、a bit(一点儿)、still(还、还要)。
5.形容词/副词同级比较
1) Tara runs as fast as Tina.
2) Jim isn’t so hard-working as Tom.
3) Are you as friendly as your friend
“as+形容词/副词的原级+as”表示“与……一样”,其否定形式为“not as/so…as”, 表示前者不如后者,注意“so+形容词/副词的原级+as”只能用在_______中。
