1. What’s this/that in English 这个/那个用英语怎么说？
(1) what 意为“什么”，疑问代词，用来引导一个特殊疑问句，放在句首；is是be动词，用于当主语为第三人称单数形式时；
this是指示代词，用来指代距离较近的那个人或物；that指代较远的那个人或物，如:
What’s this/that 这/那是什么？
What’s your name 你叫什么名字？
(2) in English 表示“用英语说”，English是名词，意为“英语”，必须用大写字母开头；作形容词时，表示“英语的；英国的；英国人的”，
如:
This is an English book. 这是一本英语书。

(1)代词it用于回答What’s this/that？的问句，用来指代this或that；还可以用来指代上文提到过的表示单数的事物名词，如:
— What’s this 这是什么？
— It’s a book. 它/这是一本书。
特别注意:
在回答What’s this/that (in English) 时，不要使用This is…或That is…来回答。
(2)不定冠词a/an都是与单数可数名词搭配使用的，表示“一(个)”的意思；其中an用于元音音素(注意不是元音字母)前，其他情况下使用a，如:
This is an apple.
这是一个苹果。
That is a map.
那是一幅地图。

元音字母:
本单元中有元音字母两个: Ii和Oo。
1. 元音字母Ii
元音字母Ii在开音节中读[ai]，学到的单词有: hi, fine, China, Chinese
在重读闭音节中读[I]，本单元学到的单词有: in, English, this, it, quilt
在非重读闭音节中读[ ]，出现在多音节的单词中，如: family
2.元音字母Oo
元音字母Oo在开音节中读[ u]，学过的单词有:
hello, OK, 以及后面要学到的photo, phone等。
在重读闭音节中读[ ]，本单元学到的单词有:
