when用来询问日期或月份，也可用来询问具体的时间。

英语中表示日期时，要用介词on，表示“几月几日”时，日期要用序数词。
John was born on August 1st. 约翰生于八月一日。
习惯上，日期月份一起书写时，日期可以使用省略形式，如:first — 1st;second — 2nd; third — 3rd。
除了这三个序数词之外，所有其它的序数词结尾都是-th，如:1月15日— January 15th；2月20日— February 20th。
