I arrived in the UK last weekend to learn English. So far I have already made a few friends and had some traditional English food there. But after having three days of hamburgers, sandwiches and potatoes,I thought none could be more delicious than Chinese food, especially my favorite﹣huoguo. You can't imagine how excited I was when I got to know that there was going to be a free meal of hotpot to welcome the new students. On the way to the canteen , I seemed to smell huoguo in the air.
To my surprise, when I went into the room,I didn't see any sign of huo guo.Where was it?
With many questions in my head,I sat down to have the free meal. After talking with an English girl,I got to know that Chinese huoguo is completely different from hotpot.Chinese huoguo is written in two words﹣hot pot; and hotpot, one word,is a traditional English dish. Hotpot is made from mutton and onion. On the top are pieces of potatoes.People put it in the oven all day in a heavy pot on a low heat.It takes very little effort to prepare. You can often see it at parties in the UK because it's easy to prepare for a large number of people and is not expensive.
Hotpot doesn't taste bad.However,I still miss huoguo﹣hot pot,two words!

buy food on the street or at inns--small hotels. Then in the middle of the 1700s,restaurants started opening in Paris. These restaurants were more similar to restaurants we know today. There was a bigger variety of food, and eating in these restaurants was a more

end, this kind of restaurant began to appear all over Europe and in other parts of the world.

Everyone knows we can’t live a happy life without good health. As for students, we can’t study well if we don’t have enough sleep. Sleep is important to everyone as well as students. However, 1 start before 8:00 am, which means that most students have to wake up at about 6:30 am. This makes 2 almost impossible for teenagers to sleep for nine hours that the National Sleep Foundation (NSF, 国家爱睡眠基金会)suggested. Students’ health condition and their grades would 3 if teenagers could sleep for as long as the suggested number of hours.
According to the NSF, it is normal for teenagers to go to bed late. Only about 15% of teenagers fall asleep 4 10:45 pm, about 5% go to bed at about 10:45, and about 80% go to sleep after 11:00 pm. Many teenagers have sleeping problems.
What’s more, doctors say that lack(缺少) of sleep is the top health problem. 5 true, why can’t something be 6 to help students get more sleep Studies show that teenagers who sleep for nine and a half hours are late for class less often and have 7 health problems.
Another benefit(益处)of starting classes later is that students’ grades would improve. Enough sleep helps students pay more attention to 8 their teachers say. And then they can have more chances to get better grades.
It is really important for teenagers to get enough sleep so that they may stay healthy and get good grades. To let students make it, classes do need to begin later.
