本课中的zero…nine都是数词。
表示数字、数目和顺序的叫做数词。
英语中的数词可以分为两大类:基数词和序数词。表示数目多少的词为基数词,如zero, one, five等;表示事物先后顺序的词为序数词,如first(第一),second(第二)等。
zero ,one…nine都是基数词,表示数目的多少,其用法如下:
1) 表示号码,如电话号码、身份证号码、门牌号等, 读时按单个基数词读出。0可读成字母o的读音/ U/或zero。
2) 表示数字或年龄等。
e.g. 她六岁。 She’s ____ years old.
二加三等于五。 ____ and _____ is ____.
3) 表示时间, 编号等。
e.g. 五点钟 ____ o’clock

英语中电话号码的读法是将每位数字单独念出来,例如:83649571读eight,three, six, four, nine, five, seven, one。
如有相同两个数字连在一起,可以读作:double + 数字,例如:33读作 double three。
另外,电话号码中的0既可以读作 zero, 也可以读作 O 。
