1. 能正确使用下列单词和短语:

4. 通过了解名著及著名作家,激发学生阅读名著及了解著名作家的兴趣。
二、教学过程
Step 1 Revision
Share your opinions about great writers:
1) In your opinion, who is a great writer

3) Why do you think he/she is great
Step 2 Pre-reading

Step 3. While-reading
1. Read the first paragraph of the passage in Activity 2 quickly.
2. Try to answer the questions. Use the words and expression in the box to help you.

Noticing words and expressions that are similar or repeated will help you understand the theme of a passage. For example, the expressions many adventures, run away and treasure box in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer show us that the story will he an exciting adventure.

Difficulty is like a spring. If you are strong, then it is weak. But if you are weak, then it is strong. (困难像弹簧,你强它就弱, 你弱它就强。)
5) 成篇章
My favourite book is Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling. The story is set in Hogwarts School. The main characters are Harry Potter, Hermione, Ron and Voldemort.
The book tells some stories about Harry who makes friends with Hermione and Ron in Hogwarts School, fights against Voldemort and protects the Philosopher's stone.
“Difficulty is like a spring. If you are strong, then it is weak. But if you are weak, then it is strong,” as the saying goes. When he faces all kinds of difficulties, Harry doesn't give up but challenges them bravely. With the help of his friends, Harry stops Voldemort taking away the Philosopher's stone.
It tells how children grow, how children get along with each other and how children challenge the difficulties.
The book is written in simple, direct and humorous languages. So many people like it a lot.
