Step 1 Lead in Greetings.Show the Ss a picture . Let them guess what they are going to talk about today.Listen to a group of sounds,let students guess the animals. 1. Greet the teacher.2. Answer the teacher’s question.3.Tell the names of wild animals through listening to the sounds. To lead in the topic of this period. Meanwhile, arouse Ss’ interest.
Step2Before listening Encourage students to pass three levels to join the Wild Animals Club.D a free talk with one or two students to talk about his/her favorite animal. 1. Talk about one or two animals.2. Make a dialogue with the teacher. New words learning.
Step3 While listening Show the pictures of Millie, and Daniel. Remind students with the listening tips ,then listen to theconversation for two times and check the answers.Ask students to listen to another conversation between Millie and Daniel. Fill in the blanks ,then check the answers. Show students some pictures and ask them some questions.Do a survey.Play the conversation between Millie and her mother,then ask two questions .Encourage students to practice their own conversation in pairs. 1. Get to know Millie and Daniel with pictures. 2. Listen to the conversation and finish the fact sheet about tigers.3. Listen to another conversation and finish the fact sheet about wolves.4. Answer teacher’s questions.5. Tell the teacher what they should do and what they shouldn’t do to help wild animals.6.Listen to the conversation and answer two questions..7. Do a pair work. 1. Step 4 After listening Divide the class into groups of four. Give each group an envelop.Encourage each group to finish a report about a wild animal..Encourage the group leaders to share their reports.Play a short video,let students enjoy the beauty of nature and the wild animals. 1.
