Teaching Contents:Unit5 Period 1 Comic strip&Welcome to the unit
I.Analysis of the Materials:
This is the first period of Unit5 from 8A English.It’s about the topic of wild animals.In this part,Ss can know about some new words and phrases,such as:dolphin,bear,giant panda,have a pity on and so on.Meanwhile,they can also understand animals are our friends.We should try our best to protect them.
II.Analysis of the Ss:
Ss learned about this topic in the past.However,it’s a little difficult for Ss to know the new words and dialogue well. So I should help them with it.Meanwhile,improving Ss’listening and speaking are necessary.I should encourage them to communicate with each other.
III.Teaching Aims:
1.Knowledge Aims:
1)Ss can understand some new words and phrases on Pages56-57:
Words:dolphin, bear,zebra…
Phrase:have a pity on,giant pandas…
2)Ss can talk about their favourite animals..
2.Ability Aims:
1)Ss can have the abilities of listening and speaking.
2)Ss can work in groups and pairs.
3.Moral Aims:
Ss can know we should try our best to protect wild animals because they are our friends.
IV.Teaching key and difficult points:
1.Teaching key points:
1)To enable Ss to understand the new words and phrases on Pages56-57.
2)Ss can understand the useful expressions well.
2.Teaching difficult points:
1)Ss can know and master some useful expressions and the names of some wild animals.
2)Ss can describe their favourite wild animals and say the reason.
