一、教学内容分析
“Where do you work ”是精通英语五年级上册第四单元的话题,这个话题是小学英语日常交际的重要组成部分,在整个小学英语知识体系中是不可或缺的。它不仅贴近学生的实际生活,而且实用、有趣,容易让学生接受并掌握。本节课是本单元的第四课时,主要谈论“他在哪里工作”这个话题,本节课既是对上一单元的职业的话题学习的延伸,又给后面知识的学习奠定了基础。
二、学情分析
五年级的学生已经学了四年的英语,具备一定的英语基础知识和基本能力,而且处在这个年龄段的学生可塑性强,对新生事物表现出极大的兴趣,又有较强的接受能力。对于谈论工作这个话题,在三单元里已经有所学习,所以对于本单元继续学习询问工作地点的话题,学生们还是有语言素材可用的。
三、教学目标
1能够听、说、认、读:CCTV;hospital;shopping mall和涉及职业的句子:Where does your father work?He works in Beijing Hospital.
Where does your mother work?She works at CCTV.
2 能够规范书写单词:in;at;on;hospital;shop和句子He works in Beijing Hospital. She works at CCTV.
3 能够通过学习、说唱歌谣,感知了解字母g在单词中的发音,掌握该字母的发音规律。
4 能够对家人工作的场所进行询问。引发学生们在交际活动中对未来职业的思考,并进行合理规划。并能够初步形成小组探究精神。
四、教学重难点
1.教学重点:本单元的学习重点是,学生能够熟练掌握三会四会单词和句子。并能够在真实的语境中灵活熟练地运用。
2.教学难点:能够围绕工作或学习场所这一相关话题展开对话或进行讨论。
5、教学过程及意图
Step one:
Warm-up 1. Free talk.
T: Are you happy today Ok, you will be Happy Group No. One…
【设计意图】 通过自由谈论消除学生的紧张情绪,随即分组。
2.” Me too” game.
【设计意图】 通过游戏,创设英语课堂氛围的同时引出本课话题,为后面的学习做了铺垫。
Step two: Presentation
1. T: Now let’s have a guessing game. Do you know what’s his or her job
【设计意图】本部分设计了四个谜语和一个视频猜职业。进而引出Where does he /she work He/She works in ...练习本课的重点句型。同时学习本课新词 hospital, shopping mall, CCTV.
2. Let’s chant.
Where does he work
He works in a hospital.
Where does he work
He works in a shopping mall.
Where does she work
She works at CCTV.
【设计意图】利用说唱操练本课句型。
Step three: Practice
1. 教师拿出自己的相册。
T:Today I bring my album. This is my uncle. Do you want to know about him You can ask me some questions.
S: What’s his job
T: He’s a farmer.
S: Where does he work
T:He works on a farm.
...
【设计意图】引出on这一词。并为后面的操练做示范。
2. 让学生拿出自己的照片做问答练习。
T: Now take out your photos and work in pairs to ask and answer with your partner.
【设计意图】小组合作学习,巩固基础。让学生在真实的语境中操练本课句型。
Step four: Language Use
T: Now suppose you and your friend were met in a shop, and happened to meet your uncle or aunt. And then you and your friend made a conversation about his or her job. So now you make a dialogue about it with your partners.
Step five: Let’s chant.
1.Brainstorming. 说出含有g的单词。
2学习/g/发音。
【设计意图】让学生在真实的语境中运用本课句型。
Homework
Find new partners to talk about the jobs in the photos.
Find more jobs and working places, and write them down.
