难点分析 从知识角度分析为什么难 1.新单词和新句型的掌握比较困难,尤其是在描述外貌时的动词需要在is和has中转换,这两个词的正确使用是难点。2.外貌的描述不仅仅是单一的一个方面,要从身高,身形,头发,五官各个方面去描述,但是修饰每个方面的描述词又各不相同。
从学生角度分析为什么难 初一学生的词汇基础不够好,所以在运用新单词和新句型时会比较困难,加之从不同方面描述时需要运用更多的单词,考验的多为综合能力;其次大部分学生对于be动词is和实意动词has的用法不是很清晰,所以正确运用仍然很困难。
难点教学方法 1.充分利用多媒体,图片、简笔画等进行语言操练和实践,让学生掌握关于描述人外貌特征的词汇和句型。2.通过师生互动和生生互动,掌握句型What does he / she look like 结构的运用。3.发挥教师良好的示范作用,注重教师在课堂教学中对学生无意识的影响,通过各种操练,使用交际用语,形成良好的学习氛围,培养学生良好的语言表达习惯。

导入 Let students watch a video and pay attention to the words and phrases which are used to describe people’s looks so that they can get brief information of how to describe others’ looks
知识讲解 (难点突破) Step 1.Give students some words appearing in the video Step 2.Show three pictures of famous people to draw students’ attention and teach them that they can describe people’s height first. Stress the usage of “is”. For example: T: What does Yao Ming look like S: He is tall. Step 3.Show three pictures and ask student to describe their build.Stress the usage of “is”. For example: T:What does he look like S:He is of medium build. Step 4.Show some pictures of different hair styles and teach students some words about describing hair. length: long /short/bald shape: straight/curly color:black/brown/blond(e) Tips:描述头发时,我们需要用动词have或has,有一个例外,bald要用is。描述头发时句式为:have/has+长短+形状+颜色+hair. Step 4.Show students some pictures of organs on our faces and teach them how to describe them.Stress the usage of “have/has/wear(s)”. have/has a face (long/small/square/round) have/has eyes (big/small/blue/brown/black ) have/has ears (big/small) have/has a nose (big/small) have/has a mouth (wide/small) have/has beard (胡须) wear(s) glasses(眼镜) Step 5. Summary
课堂练习 (难点巩固) Look at the pictures of Han Hong, Zhao Wei and Zhang Yining to describe their height. Look at the pictures of three people to describe their build. Look at the pictures of different hair styles and describe them. Give students a picture of Lang Ping and ask students to describe her look from height,build,hair and face using what we have learned today.
小结 Today,we’ve learned how to describe people’s looks. From this class, I just want you to know about three things.First, all of us are beautiful even though we look different from each other so we should be confident in our outlooks.Second,the beautiful mind is more important than a beautiful outlook so we should pay attention to being a kind person and treat others nicely.Third,don't judge a person by his look,but his knowledge and his contributions to our country!Try to keep away from the famous and good-looking stars on the TV, and pay more attention to the knowledgeable and great scientists in China.
