一、教学目标

2. 能正确地描述物品所处的位置。
3. 能阅读有关描述物品位置的小短文,并能获得相关信息。
4. 进一步培养学生整齐地摆放自己物品的生活习惯。在描述物品的位置的学习中获得英语学习的乐趣,逐步培养学生们对英语学习的兴趣。

四、教学过程
Step 1 Revision
Look at the pictures and review the words and structures.

Step 2 Pre-reading
Work on 2a
1. Look at the pictures and learn the new words in this lesson.
2. Work on 2a. Write the words you know for the things in the picture.
【设计意图】通过学习新词汇,以及让学生根据图画提示写出学过的或知道的物品名称,为阅读2b的文章提供词汇铺垫,起到承上启下的作用。

1. Ss read the passage and find the answers to the questions.

Read the passage again and complete the chart about the things Kate and Gina have and where they are.

(1) I’m tidy. 我很整洁。
tidy 是形容词,意为“整洁的;井井有条的”。
My aunt’s room is always clean and tidy. 我姑姑的房间总是干净整洁。
(2) I’m Kate, and my sister is Gina. I’m tidy, but Gina is not. 我是凯特,我妹妹吉娜。我很整洁,但是吉娜不整洁。
and和but都是并列连词,用来连接两个单词或句子,但用法却不同。
and 用来表示并列关系,意为“……和……”“……以及……” 用来连接并列的词与词、短语与短语、分句与分句。当and连接两个名词作句子主语时,当复数看待。
but表示转折关系, 意为 “但是,然而”,在句中连接前后两个意思相反或相对的句子。My radio and tape player are on the desk. 我的收音机和录音机在桌子上。
Jenny’s room is tidy, but Tom’s room is not. 詹妮的房间很整洁,但是汤姆的却不。
