Step 1 . Revision
Have a competition to review the phrases about the school activities. Ask one student to come to the front and do actions, the others must write down phrases according to his actions. The one who writes the most will get a small present.
Step 2 . Learning
1. Look at the diagram with faces. Please say something , such as:
Millie likes sth/ doing sth
Millie loves sth/ doing sth.
Millie dislikes sth/ doing sth
2. Read the diagram with Ss together and then ask them to say why Millie likes / loves /dialikes (doing) sth one by one.
Step 3 . Practice
1. Ask students to draw faces according to the chart that they have completed.
2. Let students work in pairs to talk about their likes, dislikes and the reasons. Then ask several students to tell us their likes /dislikes using.
I like ... I love .... very much / a lot , but I dislike ... at all.
3. Fill in the blanks, and then talk about it in fours. Write down the answers, and especially pay attention to the reasons.
The teacher can provide some reasons such as:
It’s bad for us.
I’m not very tall.
It’s hard for me.
4. Ask some students to say something about the chart.
Step 4 . Writing
1. let Ss fill the diary according to the chart. Then read it until they think they’ve done the best.
2. Present the diary. Let Ss read and then point out the mistakes . at last, the other students should give a comment.
Step 5 . Summarize
Sum up the language points in this unit.
