1.写作指导
对英语说明文的考查,一般要求考生写一篇关于人物、物品、地点、节日等的介绍。
说明文写作要点
(1)选择合理的说明顺序:时间顺序、空间顺序或逻辑顺序。分层次说明。
(2)选择恰当的说明方法:定义法、举例法、比较法等。
(3)选择恰当的时态:介绍产品说明时,常用一般现在时;介绍人物、科普小品时,常用一般现在时、一般过去时或现在完成时等。
说明文注意事项
(1)语言简明扼要,通俗易懂,避免夸张华丽的辞藻,要把真实的一面展现在读者面前。
(2)说明时一定要把握一个中心主题。说明文中细枝末节较多,但不能喧宾夺主。
(3)说明的次序非常重要。合理的次序会使文章条理清楚,脉络明晰。因此,练习时可以尝试用不同的次序进行写作,找出最合理的一种。
本单元要求写人物介绍,需要注意以下几点:
(1)人物介绍通常需要介绍人物的姓名、年龄、外貌、学历、经历、专业、爱好、特长、事迹、性格等多个方面,但英语写作需要严格按照写作要求来写,包括所给的全部信息点,既不能遗漏,也不能随意添加。
(2)对题目所给的信息要进行适当重组,安排好写作顺序,突出重点信息。重点信息通常是写作的目的所在,比如求职要重点突出学历、经历,新闻报道要重点突出事迹,介绍自己的老师、朋友要突出他们的特点等。
(3)注意运用正确的时态。描写人物的外貌、性格、兴趣、工作等常用一般现在时,而描写人物的出生、教育背景、经历、事迹常用一般过去时。

The vividly coloured, finely shaped figurines of "Clay Figure Zhang" have been seeing a surge in popularity as an authentic and valuable traditional craft.
The nearly 200-year history of “Clay Figure Zhang" began with Zhang Mingshan, who became known for his ability to breathe life and beauty into these painted clay figurines. Born into a poor family, Zhang Mingshan made them as a means of earning a living. He often visited markets where he observed people of all walks of life, and went to theatres to observe those performing on stage.
Day in, day out, he used tonnes of clay to mould what he saw, and sometimes added decorative items or new features to the figurines. So vivid and lifelike were they that they attracted crowds of spectators to the stand from which he sold them.
Fortunately, Zhang Mingshan's craftsman ship has been passed down through his descendents, with these distinctive clay figurines now being crafted by the sixth generation of "Clay Figure Zhang".

Jane Eyre
Jane Eyre, written by Charlotte Bront and first published in 1847, tells the timeless story of the love between a poor young governess and a rich and mysterious gentleman.
After leaving the orphanage where she has spent most of her childhood, Jane Eyre goes to work as the governess of the daughter of a wealthy but troubled landowner. As she comes to know the great house and the people who live and work within it, Jane begins to uncover the secret responsible for Rochester's temper and reticence. They fall in love, but just when their happily ever after seems to be in sight, that secret threatens to tear them apart.
Jane Eyre looks at how people should not be underestimated because of the way they look –Jane might be small and plain, but she is also strong, courageous and independent. Although she is a woman and from a lower social class than Rochester, she wants to prove herself his equal in spirit.
