【教材简析】本课所用的是仁爱版教材,该教材以话题为单位,包括四个部分: Section A是新内容的整体呈现,Section B是新内容的分散呈现。Section C以短文阅读为主,Section D是前面4 个 section 的总结归纳和整合提高。Section C知识的扩展与综合运用,侧重对学生阅读和写作能力的培养。本课是八年级上册的Unit 3 Topic 3 Section A,通过对话掌握新内容。整个Unit 3围绕着What were you doing at this time yesterday 通过这话题引出过去进行时的学习、运用。而Section A通过1a,1c和part3对话练习这一时态。让学生通过练习和对话,在课堂中巩固过去进行时提高学生的语言综合运用能力。
【学情简析】初二学生们由于学习的科目增多,难度增大,特别是对于记忆类科目的学习显得力不从心,特别是英语科的学习,很多同学都进入学习误区,认为多背单词就可以拿到好成绩,其实学语言关键在于实践,就像学游泳必须下水一样。英语也少不了读、写的练习,也需要掌握一定的语法规律,要多做多写,增加练习实践。但切忌死记硬背,最终必须落实到应用中去。因此本课的学习重点就在于将Topic 3所学的语法通过课文的学习以及课文的重写一步步巩固和运用。在本课学习中将学生分为不同小组,为学生的语言学习营造良好的氛围,从而增强学生的兴趣和留意力,使学生在愉悦的课堂活动中主动学习,快乐成长。

Step1:Pre-listening Look at the pictures and check the new words and phrases. 1.T:“Before our class let check new words and phrases ”Ss check new words and phrases. 有趣进入新课,结合图片学习新单词、短语和复习现在进行时句子,为后面学过去进行时作准备。
Step2:While-listening 1.Turn into the new lesson. Listen and read the conversation of 1a,and answer the question. T: What are you doing Ss :We are having an English class.T:What were we doing at this time yesterday S:We were having a math class.1.What is Jane doing now 2.What was Jane doing at this time yesterday 有趣引入新课。
2.Read 1a together and find out the sentences with “be +v.ing”. 1.The telephone rings while Jane is practicing the violin.2. What are you doing, Jane I’m practicing the violin.3. What were you doing at this time yesterday Oh, I was taking a shower.4.The Present Continuous Tense: 现在进行时 结构am / is /are + v-ing5.was/were + v.ing过去进行时。过去进行时概念:表示过去的某个时刻/某一时间段正在进行的动作 1.朗读课文1a,并在对话中找出有be + v. ing 形式的句子。2.呈现现在进行时和过去进行时的结构和概念。
The Past Continuous Tense肯定式:was/were +doing否定式:was/were not +doing疑问式:Was/Were ……doing 过去进行时常与表示过去的时间状语连用:如:at this time yesterday from seven to nine yesterday
3.Learn 1c Pair work.(Look at the pictures and write thecorrect words or phrases. Then write down conversations on the exercise-book.) Example:A: What were you doing at this time yesterday B: I was washing some clothes. What about you .A: I was doing some cleaning 以简单的Pair work 的形式,看1c的图片,结合短语进行机械的简单的对话练习训练,让学生把答案写在练习本上。
